Plan your year-end maintenance before your plant stops

Hanno Jenkel
Planned shutdowns at the end of the year are an ideal opportunity to inspect machines, replace wear parts and carry out maintenance work without interrupting normal production. But a shutdown only works efficiently if the necessary spare and wear parts are available when the work starts. That is why it makes sense to plan your maintenance needs early.

Make the most of your planned shutdown

Whether you are planning a complete maintenance stop or simply want to use a quieter production period for inspection work, preparation is key. Before the shutdown, it is worth checking:

Which wear parts are approaching the end of their service life?

Are there components that have already shown signs of increased wear or irregular operation?

Which parts should be inspected while the machine is accessible?

Are critical spare parts available on site?

Are all required parts available in time for the planned maintenance date?

Especially with machines that have been in operation for several years, it is not always easy to assess which components should be replaced proactively and which can remain in operation. This is where our service team can support you.

Let us check what you may need

Send us the details of your Westeria machine and your planned maintenance period. Based on your machine, its configuration and the information you provide, our service team can help you identify relevant spare and wear parts for your upcoming shutdown. Depending on the machine and situation, this may include:

recommended wear parts

critical spare parts

components that should be inspected during the shutdown

parts that may be worth replacing preventively

available service or maintenance options

A few minutes of preparation can prevent unnecessary downtime

If required, we can also prepare an individual quotation for the recommended parts.
One of the most frustrating situations during planned maintenance is discovering a worn component only after the machine has already been opened — and then having to wait for the required spare part. Planning ahead helps reduce this risk. By checking your requirements early, you can make sure that the right parts, personnel and service support are available when your shutdown begins.
This makes the maintenance window easier to plan and helps get your equipment back into operation as scheduled.
