Spare Parts & Service:
Road Trip USA

Kathrin Westrup
Spare parts trip USA

Service starts before
a spare part is needed.

What happens when a wear part fails and the right spare part isn’t available on site? In the worst case, it’s not just one machine that stops – it can affect an entire process.

And that’s exactly what we want to avoid.

Our Spare Parts Manager Timo Brechmann and Service Technician Peter Rohr are currently on the road in the US, visiting several customers and Westeria installations.

The trip combines service work directly on the machines with something just as important: talking to the people who work with our equipment every day.

How is the machine running?

Are there any current issues?

Which components are showing the first signs of wear?

And which spare parts might be needed in the coming months?

“When we’re standing together with the customer directly at the machine, we can see and discuss things much more easily. We can check what is needed now, but also what we should already be thinking about for the next few months.”

Timo Brechmann, Spare Parts Manager

Planning ahead instead of waiting.

Westeria machines are designed for high availability and minimum wear. But wherever machines are in daily operation, wear and maintenance cannot be completely avoided.

That is why the trip is not only about solving existing issues. A major part is looking ahead together with our customers. Based on the condition of the equipment and the customer’s requirements, Timo discusses which spare and wear parts make sense to keep available on site. From this, individual spare parts packages can be put together and planned early. If service work is required, this can also be coordinated at the same time.

This becomes particularly important for components with longer delivery times or parts that are critical for operation. Instead of waiting until a component has reached the end of its service life, the required parts can already be planned, ordered and kept available.

Service directly on site.

The trip is also a chance for our Service team to take a closer look at the installations and carry out maintenance and service work directly on site.

For us, Spare Parts and Service therefore belong together. Knowing the machine, understanding its condition and talking directly with the customer helps us provide the right support – not only when something has already happened.

And the feedback from our customers is just as important. It gives us a better understanding of how our machines perform in daily operation and where additional support may be needed.

“In the end, it’s pretty simple: we want our customers to have the right parts available before they become urgent. That can save valuable time when maintenance is due.”, says Timo.

The right parts. At the right time. In the right place.

The goal of our US Service Road Trip is clear: stay close to our customers, plan upcoming spare parts and service needs together and keep downtime as low as possible.
